INTL.CMD – Hyruler

INTL.CMD is an electronic and retrowave project based out of Philadelphia, PA. The name INTL.CMD references the basic internal commands or instructions that a computer uses (copy, rename, remove, delete, etc.). Internal command also refers to the impulses from our brain that trigger actions and behaviors. The thoughts that tell your body to respond in a certain way either consciously or subconsciously. He is very interested in our mind’s internal commands and how our social media and advertising media take advantage of this.
Most of his music and visuals are inspired by media’s influence on individuals, social control and near future dystopian themes from books and movies. The sound is a mix of influences from his favorite video games in the 90’s and sci-fi movies from the 80’s. The music hinges on catchy repetitive leads with with darker undertones. The current EP F-MAX-2560 is a shout out to his favorite Super Nintendo futuristic racing game F-Zero.
F-Max referred to a time from the past in the F-Zero timeline. The songs that he wrote for this EP are also from the past. These songs were originally started about 2 years ago and are much brighter than the songs that he is currently writing today. This EP along with most of his music can be found at https://soundcloud.com/intlcmd and is licensed with a Creative Commons license for artists and creators to use in their projects.
